Job description
Rewires and consumer units across the region. Van and fuel card supplied.
We are looking for a Electrician, Domestic in Newcastle. You do not need to arrive knowing everything; you do need to care about the standard of what you hand over, and be willing to ask when something is not clear.
About the role
- Carry out installations and repairs to current regulations and to a standard you would sign.
- Survey and price work, and explain it to the customer in plain terms.
- Keep tools, van stock and certification in order.
- Complete job sheets, photographs and sign-off on the day.
- Work safely, including method statements and risk assessments where the job calls for them.
What we are looking for
- The relevant trade qualification and a current CSCS or equivalent card.
- A careful approach to safety and to your own standard of work.
- Willingness to learn the parts of this you have not done before.
- Reliability — the team notices when somebody turns up when they said they would.
- Clear communication with colleagues, and with customers where the role involves them.
What we offer
- Paid training and support towards the qualification the role needs.
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays, rising with service.
- Company pension, and life cover after your first year.
- A rota published well in advance, so you can plan around it.
- Staff discount, a cycle-to-work scheme and an employee assistance line.
