Job description
Shifts across a 40-bed residential home. Full training and paid induction.
We are recruiting a Care Assistant, Days and Nights to join our team in Stirling. This is a permanent position with a proper handover, a named manager from day one, and the training you need to do the job well rather than just get through the first week.
About the role
- Support residents with personal care, mobility and mealtimes, at their pace and in the way they prefer.
- Keep accurate daily records and raise any change in someone’s condition with the nurse on shift.
- Follow care plans, and contribute to reviewing them when you notice something is no longer right.
- Help run activities and keep families informed and welcome.
- Work to CQC standards and our own safeguarding procedures, with refresher training provided.
What we are looking for
- Experience in a care setting, or a genuine willingness to train — we will fund the qualification.
- Reliability — the team notices when somebody turns up when they said they would.
- Clear communication with colleagues, and with customers where the role involves them.
- The judgement to work unsupervised, and the sense to ask when something is not clear.
- A careful approach to safety and to your own standard of work.
What we offer
- A permanent contract and a proper induction, not a fortnight of guessing.
- Paid training and support towards the qualification the role needs.
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays, rising with service.
- Company pension, and life cover after your first year.
- A rota published well in advance, so you can plan around it.

FAQ
How long does the process take?
We shortlist within a week of closing and interview the week after. You will hear from us either way — nobody is left wondering.
What happens at the interview?
A conversation with the manager you would report to, about 45 minutes, plus a look round wherever you would be working. No presentations, no puzzles.
Do I need experience to apply?
Read the "What we are looking for" list above. If you meet most of it and are willing to learn the rest, apply — we would rather see you than not.
Can I visit before I apply?
Yes. Ring ahead and we will arrange a time to show you round Stirling so you know what you are taking on.
Is there parking or transport nearby?
There is on-site parking, and we are a short walk from the nearest bus route. Ask if you need the details.
