Control Systems Apprentice

Four-year apprenticeship with day release. No experience needed, just curiosity.

We are recruiting a Control Systems Apprentice to join our team in Leicester. This is a permanent position with a proper handover, a named manager from day one, and the training you need to do the job well rather than just get through the first week.

About the role

• Deliver the day-to-day work of the role at our Leicester site, to the standard the team already works to.
• Keep accurate records and hand over clearly to whoever picks the work up next.
• Work with colleagues across the business rather than in isolation.
• Follow our health, safety and quality procedures.
• Suggest improvements where you can see one — nobody here minds being told.

What we are looking for

• Reliability — the team notices when somebody turns up when they said they would.
• Clear communication with colleagues, and with customers where the role involves them.
• The judgement to work unsupervised, and the sense to ask when something is not clear.
• A careful approach to safety and to your own standard of work.
